Rhinestones, etc:
-We are tentatively planning to hold the rhinestoning meeting on Sunday Feb 12th at 5pm. A sample and instructions will be available at the meeting. We have volunteers available to do your rhinestoning for you if you prefer. Application charge is $5 per gross. A sign up will be posted on the b-board soon.
-All female students will need our “official” troupe earrings, and at least 2-3 pair of tights for competition. These will be available at the rhinestone meeting. Fishnets & black tights are also anticipated anytime now. Be sure to check your costume sheets for your specific requirements.
Hair & Makeup Details and Meeting Dates: PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
-For makeup, our troupe girls may choose your own brands this year but we may ask you to choose different shades if we have issues with “clashing” colors, etc. The following is a general list of what you will need:
Foundation – one shade darker than natural skin tone, matching powder. Eye shadows – bring white & dark brown. Blush – wine/pink tone. Eyeliner pencil - black. Mascara – black. False eyelashes lv 2-4 only, thick/black . Also: comb, brush, hairbands, bobbypins/hairpins, hairspray, & a spray water bottle
-Troupe A parents(level 1-3) MUST attend our hair and makeup meetings, held as follows:

Lv. 1A – Mon. 2/13, 6:30pm
Lv 2/A - Tues. 2/14, 7:30pm
COMPETITIONS:
-RAINBOW fees are due 2/19. 20% Late fees charged on 2/20 no exceptions! It will be held the weekend of April 20-22nd, 2012 at the Paseo Academy of Performing Arts. This is also mandatory for BOTH A & B troupe. Soloists may also want to check out the information posted regarding the TITLE competition at Nationals and discuss these options with your teacher.
-Spotlight Competition (optional) is April 13-15 at the OP Conv Center. Fees are due Feb 4th.
Trio: $35, Duo: $53, Solo: $89. We do not intend to enter any groups in this event.
-Kids Artistic Revue (KAR) Competition is May 11-13th at the KCI expo center. Fees are TBA & will be due March 25th :
-Nationals Fees, for Wisconsin Rainbow are TBA, but are approx $8 more per routine than your regionals fees. These will be due 5/7/12.
2/20 Presidents Day rehearsals:
-All Solo/duo/trios should talk with teachers about the possibility of extra rehearsals on this date.
-Extra group rehearsals for Rainbow extra routines will be held as follows:
9-11 Peek a Boo 11-1pm Hypnotist 1-3pm Dirty Beat
PEP RALLY – Feb 26th, 2pm
-The Troupe pep rally will be held at Grain Valley High School on Sunday, Feb 26th. Dancers arrive by 1:30pm for our 2pm showtime. Dancers should have hair/,makeup done and arrive in dance attire so we can run-through production PROMPTLY at 1:45.
-Pep Rally Tickets are $8 adults, $6 children and payment is due back to SSDB in check form by the 2/12/12 meeting. If you need additional seats, please leave your requests at the front desk and we will make every effort to accommodate you.
-We are also asking that EACH family make every possible effort to secure at least ONE auction donation. The profits from these donations are applicable directly to your own child’s accounts. Auction items are due in to Starz by Sun. 2/19/12 & you will need to submit a form with any donations so that you receive credit for it.
Assistant Teacher Grade Cards: Many are still due to Cari, please follow up asap!
SSDB: Butter braid sales fundraising forms will be available soon.
