For more than 10 years Starz Studio of Performing Arts has been committed to the success of our community’s children.  Our dedicated professionals will provide your child a fun-filled, friendly environment where they can gain the self-confidence, self-discipline and motivation to become the “Starz” of tomorrow.

What makes us the best choice?

*New 6000 square foot facility with 4 dance rooms in a convenient location.  (Major shopping facility just down the street).

*Multiple choices in class day’s and times allow parents to schedule additional classes for siblings or the same child on the same day and/or the same time.

*Small class sizes allow students more individual instruction. 

*Dedicated and caring instructors.  Our teachers are easy to relate and make learning fun!

*Monthly parent watch weeks, newsletters, and a well maintained website make events and activities clearly understandable and keep you well informed.  Communication with our customers is considered essential at Starz!

*Fall Session Classes begin the Tuesday after Labor Day and run through the first weekend in June (Showcase weekend).

*Summer Session classes begin mid-June and run for 8 weeks.

*A Schedule of class days/times is available upon request.

Watch night

Studio newsletters are disbursed with watch week during the first class of every month.  Parents are encouraged to regularly attend watch weeks to observe class, and receive your newsletters.  Viewing windows are placed in each classroom for the parent’s convenience during non-watch weeks.

Classroom attire and shoes

For the safety and proper instruction of our students we require specific styles and types of shoes.  The specific requirements for your class selection are available upon inquiry and/or upon registration.  We offer both new and lightly used shoes for sale.  However, you are welcome to purchase these items elsewhere as long as you follow our guidelines. 

Attendance

Students are expected to attend all classes.  But if it is unavoidable we allow students to make up absences with any other regular class at Starz within a two-month time period.  Please call the studio to notify us of your absence from classes.  Our teachers and/or front desk staff can offer suggestions for specific make-up day’s and times.  Starz does not offer credits or refunds for absences.

Showcase Performance

*Showcase of the Starz is our annual recital usually held in early June.  These performances are the highlight of our school year and provide an opportunity for our students to demonstrate their skills in an fun and professional setting.

All fall session students participate in this exciting event. 

*Starz does not charge a Showcase or recital fee, but rather a per ticket price for this event.  Costume and shoe requirements for Showcase are the teacher’s choice and are based on the routine type.  These requirements are announced in early December.  Payment for costumes is split into two halves with due dates in December and February.

*We take the responsibility of running a smooth, understandable and well-organized event very seriously.  Additional information regarding Showcase will be distributed in monthly newsletters and on our website.

Fee Payments

We now offer convenient payment options with recurring direct withdrawal from your bank or credit card as well as on the spot credit or debit payment.  Check and Cash payments are discouraged.  For complete details on our tuition fees and payment policies please refer to our class schedule, inquire by phone, or at the front desk.
